Chinese authorities have chosen the most secure sites for their citizens the rest of resources will be permanently blocked. Such practice is encouraged by the Russian and Belarusian officials.
Actually there is no country which do not practice one or another form of restriction of access Internet and content filtering. One of the most severe forms of control is filter for “white list”.
A new Chinese government’s program of Internet filtering has started to move from the policy of “black lists” to a policy of “white lists” – which means that if before the ordinary people of China could go on all sites, except for prohibited, but now they have access only to network resources, approved by the government.
According to Reuters, the formation of “white lists” and registration of new domains Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China requested the local Internet providers and domain registrars. “Domain names that are not listed in our list will not be served” – ministry said.
Though the new rules do not prohibit access to the foreign pages, Chinese media claim that the foreign registration page will also have to take place in the general procedure. Thus, the Beijing News publication wrote that if access to legal sites will be blocked, the Internet will not perform its basic function – just to comunicate people around the world.
