On the eve of Microsoft’s launch of Windows 7, the gloves are off in the fight for business customers. IBM today unveiled an all-out campaign to persuade U.S. companies, governments and organizations to finally break their Windows habit and make the switch to Linux, usatoday.com reported.
“Our data shows a remarkably high number of organizations planning to standardize on the new Windows 7 operating system in the near-term,” says Chris Neal, a vice president at Chadwick Martin Bailey. “Those who are holding back for the time being are more commonly staying with XP, rather than Vista.”
“This is the chance so many companies have been waiting for to break the proprietary lock Microsoft has on the desktop.” said Bob Picciano, general manager of IBM Lotus software. “They can permanently free themselves and their IT budgets with open source computing.”

On Thursday Facebook’s 200 million users had been launched an attack by Hackers, which successfully gathered passwords in the latest campaign to prey on members of the popular social networking site.
Facebook spokesman Barry Schnitt said on Thursday that the site was in the process of cleaning up damage from the attack.
He said that Facebook was blocking compromised accounts.
Schnitt declined to say how many accounts had been compromised.
The hackers got passwords through what is known as a phishing attack, breaking into accounts of some Facebook members, then sending e-mails to friends and urging them to click on links to fake websites.
Those sites were designed to look like the Facebook home page. The victims were directed to log back in to the site, but actually logged into the one controlled by the hackers, unwittingly giving away their passwords. The purpose of such attacks is generally identify theft and to spread spam.
The fake domains include www.151.im, www.121.im and www.123.im. Facebook has deleted all references to those domains.
Finding out tons of spam also named “junk mail” in your email box, or on your favorite newsgroup again and again can turn your computing into a real calamity. Actually there are small number people who send the spam but their activity is able to make a big problem for each of us.

Fighting with a spam lasts without interruption all these years over and what is the result? To my opinion spam stream is decreasing lately and I would give a spam blocker software the credit of improving the situation.
Finally using an effective and powerful spam filter software you can take back the control over your inbox locking unwanted dust out. This is really smart solution allowing you to manage the volume of email and filters spam without losing needed email, having the option to review isolated spam safely at anytime you want. Software works with most of email programs such as Outlook, Eudora, Netscape, etc., it’s easy to use and self configuring and no doubt it will save your time and nervous.

That’s right; this is absolutely normal everyday life. And what is more, now you should not worry even in case when regular dialup connections such as DSL or Cable are not in your area.

There are more available options to get a fast connection to the web and all what you need is to choose one of various Satellite providers, such as HughesNet for instance, allowing you to access wide range internet services – from high-speed Internet, Mobile Internet, RV internet access to VSAT systems, VPN, or VoIP (Telephone) and wireless networking whenever and wherever you want. As the saying is technology does not drive change, it enables change.
